As the country sits and waits for the big text message of who the Democratic running mate will be, our soldiers are fighting overseas. Away from their families and friends. I do not know how to text and do not care to learn. How silly is this latest announcement.
The money that has been spent on this year’s political campaign could have been better used to equip our soldiers with what they need. They should all have been given the Hummers that many people are driving in across the United States. There is no substance on the news channels anymore. Political analysists debate and voice their opinions on the stragetic plans of the candidates.
The congress is on vacation, relaxing and enjoying the comforts of home. Yet, our soldiers are far away from home. Their families need them and are getting by with little. They are fighting for us. Yet, there is no mention of them in the political debates. Do I and so many others care about the grand announcement by text? Do I care, that Hillary was upset that the scandal that occurred with John Edwards should have come out earlier? After all, if it did she would have probably been the nominee instead. How shallow that seems to me. Remember how Hillary and Obama were ripping each other apart during the political democratic nomination. Now Hillary is campaigning for him. Is it me, or does this not make sense.
Why is it that Americans allow this to continue? Why are our politicians allowed to spend more time ripping each other apart instead of taking a stand and doing right by us all?
Our soldiers do not have time to sit around and debate. They are busy fighting and losing their lives for us. For what? So we can continue to allow American jobs to be sold overseas, to also allow other countries to buy our land and control us more and more each day. When was the last time you called up an American company and spoke to a person in America. More than likely you were dealing with a person in India. After all they work cheaply. It is good for the corporations to have cheap labor. Really. You see the results. Corporations are closing like never before. They overextended themselves for the almighty dollar and now they are going bankrupt. While they were expanding they put a lot of mom and pop stores out of business. These were the places most of us worked our first jobs. That is a thing of the past.
When our soldiers come home are they offered benefits or do they and their families have to fight every step of the way to get what they are entitled too. To me it is simple. If a person who is willing to sacrifice for us all comes back they should be provided with benefits like the GI’s had years ago.
Please continue to pray for our soldiers. They are doing without all the comforts of home so you may have your comfort. They are young and more than likely trying to raise a family while away from home. Their spouses are getting by with little. Some will never come home or come home wounded. What benefits and health care is provided for them. Again, what does not make sense to me is that an illegal immigrant can go to a hospital and say “No Speaka the English” and get free health care. Yet, hard working Americans and our soldiers are not afforded this luxury.
Our soldiers are not putting their lives on the line so we can continue to Press 1 for English, be sold out to other countries, and be told over and over again how terrible America is. Americans, throughout the years have helped countless people throughout the world. After all Americans are all people from different nations. We have learned to live together and try to make the world better. Yes, we are not perfect, but through the years we tried hard to make it better for all.
When Katrina happened, think about how many countries helped us. Very few. Yet, again, whenever there is a crisis throughout the world, Americans are the first to help. Feed the Children, what is going on in Africa, Cuba and so many other countries throughout the world. We try are best and donate what we can. Yet, middle class Americans can no longer provide for themselves and their families.
Please, again do what you can to start a fundraiser for our troops. They need us like never before. They are the heart and soul of America. They are our children. Get involved and do what you can. Write to our soldiers and thank them for their sacrifice. Let them know that we care more about them than the politicians who are only trying to make names for themselves. Politicians are who we elect to speak on our behalf. They should not receive entitlements because they are politicians. Our soldiers need entitlements and benefits not them.
Summer is coming to end. Many Americans across this great nation did not go on vacation this summer. Instead they took on second jobs to make ends meet. As the gas and oil wars continue, many oil rich nations did not donate any money to help people throughout the world. When are we all going to say enough is enough. It is time for all of us to start hitting the politicians and corporations in their pockets. I and all of the middle class Americans are not working hard to better their lives. I am working hard to keep the American Dream going for my children.
Start to read between the lines and get involved. Write your politicians and ask that they solve the real issues that face us all.

I don’t know who wrote it but they should have signed it. Some powerful words. This person should run for president.
Written
By a housewife from New Jersey
And sounds like it! This is one ticked off lady.
‘Are we fighting a war on terror or aren’t we? Was it or was it not started by
Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?
Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac
>From our nation’s capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?
Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or
Crushing death that day, or didn’t they?
And I’m supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was ‘desecrated’ when
An overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?..Well, I don’t.
I don’t care at all.
I’ll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.
I’ll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia
I’ll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg’s head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.
I’ll care when the cowardly so-called ‘insurgents’ in Iraq come out
And fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.
I’ll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.
I’ll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment
Liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution’s Bill of Rights.
In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this:
I don’t care
When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured:
I don’t care.
When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move
Because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank:
I don’t care.
When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed ’special’ food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being ‘mishandled,’ you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts:
I don’t care.
And oh, by the way, I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s spelled ‘Koran’ and
Other times ‘Quran.’ Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-
I don’t care !!
If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it’ll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!
If you don’t agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don’t complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:
‘Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don’t have that problem’ — Ronald Reagan
I have another quote that I would like to add AND…..I hope you forward all this.
‘If we ever forget that we’re One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.’ Also by.. Ronald Reagan
One last thought for the day:
In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England ’s Prime Minister Tony Blair’s words during a recent interview. When asked by
One of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said: ‘A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in.. And how many want out.’
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
YOU MIGHT WANT TO PASS THIS ON, AS MANY SEEM TO FORGET BOTH OF THEM.
AMEN!

I feel oh posting this here.
The drama that seems to be used in polotics
and government arena is a JOKE.
I am sick of hearing about Michelle Obama AND THE CLOTHES SHE IS WEARING- I feel confident that I could buy a sewing machine and design that stuff. The sad part is it takes ink to report on those petty things.
THAT INK should be used on the tragic war and death that so many have and will face for our freedome. Jackie Kennedy was an icon , she did not ask for the applause rather republican or democrat she just HAD THE ORIGINALITY – TO hear about THE CAMELOT YEARS being tied into this mess sickens me.
For one thing, the Camelot years are of an era in history , they were original and as I always say a copie is never as good as the real thing- Slinging dirt is what looks so stupid in this race, I hear what they want me to hear IF I CHOOSE TO LISTEN.
I prefere to hear the WHISPERS OF GOD, SAYING IT IS ALL GOING TO BE OK-
LOVE,GREG

Totally agree with you. The money spent to set up the arena I could only imagine what it cost. That money should have been donated to our troops instead to help them when they come home after fighting FOR US.
When they talk about health care and jobs and the oil crisis – why was not something done all the prior years. Now that it is such a mess they are going to fix it. Talk is cheap.
Why did the Congress go on vacation for a whole month? They should have given up their vacations and worked on solving the problems now. Instead, they continue to live a life that most of us can only dream about.
Their health care is secure, they will have pensions coming in, they own homes and their children go to the best schools. Something is wrong with this picture.
Please continue to pray for our soldiers who when the come back will not be able to buy a home, their children are doing without little, and they have no idea what the future will be for them.
Thank you.
